  • 4 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 lb beef short ribs
  • 2 tsp cumin
  • 3 cans black beans (soacked over night)
  • To taste pepper (freshly grounded)
  • 1 tbsp lime juice (freshly Squeezed)
  • To taste salt

How to Make Crockpot Brazilian Feijoada?

  1. Add a little oil to a skillet and brown the ribs on all sides. Once these are done nicely, remove them from the skillet and set them aside.
  2. Now add chopped onion and garlic to the skillet and cook for about 3 minutes or unit translucent on medium heat.
  3. Once these are brown, add tomatoes to the skillet and cook until the mixture is soft and combined.
  4. Transfer the mixture to the slow cooker bowl.
  5. Add ribs to the cooker, beans, and one and ½ cup of beef broth and cumin.
  6. Adjust settings to low and cook it for about 6 to 8 hours. Cook it until the ribs are tender and easily pull apart.
  7. Taste the seasoning and add pepper or salt as per requirement.
  8. Add lime juice to your flavor and serve with Brazilian-style rice or orange wedges.
