Sweet and sour meatballs with pineapple is another savory slow cooker recipe you can try. It is easy to make as you do not struggle with the meatballs.

Ingredients

  • 28 ounces meatballs (frozen)
  • 20 ounces pineapple chunks (canned, spare the juice)
  • 1 green pepper (diced)
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • cup vinegar
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp cornstarch

How to Make?

  • Separate the pineapple chunks and juice into two bowls.
  • Add frozen meatballs to the 4-6-quart crock pot and top them with pineapple chunks and green peppers.
  • Add brown sugar, soy cause, vinegar, and corn starch to the pineapple juice bowl. Whisk them well and combine
  • Pour the mixture over the meatballs in the slow cooker
  • Cook it for about 2 hours on low settings
  • Once done, turn the settings to high and let the sauce thicken.
  • Once it reaches a specific consistency, turn off the heat and serve.

Expert Tips

  • The frozen meatballs have different packaging and weight. So you need to pick up the most desirable ones.
  • Do not defrost the meatballs as it will sometimes cause them to lose their firmness.
  • If you don’t like peppers, you can leave them or add any other vegetable
  • Rice is a perfect side to add to the dish while serving.
